THE LOOKS OF NOW: TRENDY OR TRASH?

Every year there are new styles that come and go, certain accessories that sweep the nation, and as quickly as the fad begins, it ends.

This year, alongside the ridiculous craze of silly bands, there are numerous styles that have stayed popular. The question is... which styles are worth adapting to, and which ones are to be avoided?

THE SKINNY JEAN: The skinny jean has been loved by many for the past few years. Jeans that cling to ones legs, flattering curves, or giving curves to those less curvaceous. Skinny jeans are a must to own due to their comfortability and efficiency. With high boots in style, skinny jeans are amazing! Take it from someone who hadn't owned skinny jeans...knee high socks don't work. Skinny jeans that can easily slip into high riding boots, are comfortable, fashionable, and provide a clean look. With skinny jeans, wrinkles and ruffles alone the line where the boot and the jean meet are non existent.

THE JEGGING: Jeggings to me predominantly seem confused and enduring a painful identity crisis...are they jeans, or are they leggings. At first, jeggings were seen as tights but with a jean print on them. Jeggings i find more attractive and flattering are those that are more jean then legging, jean material but with the same comfortability and flexibility that of leggings. Suitable to wear with a longer top when leggings seem unsuitable, jeggings can be put to good use. that is when the jegging is made of legitimate jean material opposed to a stretchy spandex...can you say "ew"?

THE CASUAL/SPORTS BLAZER: YESYESYESYESYES. I love the sports blazer. The nice and cleaned up look just does it for me, when a simplistic plain t shirt is matched with a tuxedo type jacket or a sports blazer with blouse cuffs. They are comfortable, roomy, and classy looking.

THE LEGGING: Leggings have been in for so long now. Yes, I get it. they are comfortable. That doesn't mean you can wear them as pants. when the legging fad first returned a few years ago, i was all for it. now, people are wearing leggings with short t-shirts and are wearing them in ways that allow full asses to be exposed...i insist, that if you are a fan of the legging, go ahead, they are comfortable no doubt...but where something that covers your ass. they are called leggings. They are tights. not an alternative pant.

FADS THAT HAVE CAME AND GONE...THAT YOU CANT BELIEVE YOU ONCE WORE:

Short hooded jackets

Gaucho pants

Neck chokers
